Pakistan’s biggest motor rally from Gilgit to Gwadar has just started. This huge rally has started from khunjerab pass on 21st October to recall the 70th independence day of Pakistan and will last for 10 days under the auspices of Pakistan army. Famous climber Nazir Sabir and Samina Baig were the guest of Honors. Force commander Northern Area Mag General Saqib Mehmood Malik, Chief Secretary Dr. Kazim Niaz and other civilian and military officials were also present in the opening ceremony.
Starting from Khunjerab, the rally will pass through Gilgit, Bbusar, Islamabad, South Waziristan, Quetta and Karachi before ending. The rally will cover more than 3000 km in 10 days. Number of people have attended this motor rally. 300 Jeeps, 500 Motorcycles and 150 vintage cars across the country have participated in this rally.
The basic purpose of this rally is to promote Adventure sports also called extreme sports involves high degree of risk also to demonstrate the potential of our tourism and to show our cultural heritage. Keeping in view all these purposes Pakistan’s biggest Motor Rally has started.
As this rally is for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan so there are very strict security arrangments. According to the ISPR statement: THe routes and areas selected for this rally are relatively less visible, developed with extra ordinary efforts and serve as seeds of prosperity for Pakistan.
A seperate rally has also started it's journey from Lahore. Many bikes and cars from Lahore were seen crossing motorway and G.T road.
