A documentary film on 30 years career of singer turned into a religious scholar "Junaid Jamshed" will be released on December 1. Pakistani American Imran Ahmad Khan, producer and director of the film ‘Ansoo’, told that his film will show the secret aspects of Junaid Jamshed’s life as a kind person. Ahmad Khan spent a lot of time finding rare videos and pictures of Junaid Jamshed to capture never-seen before moments of Junaid’s life. Ahmad says that the film is an attempt to shed light on Junaid’s life as a kind person.
Apart from that, the movie will also evince the last conversation Junaid Jamshed had before leaving for the eternal world.
Salman Ahmad of Junoon revealed that
"Ansoo will show people the hidden side of Junaid’s character & reveal that he was a multidimensional personality not the black & white caricature that the media has made of him."
Here we don't need to tell anyone that who is Junaid Jamshed as everyone knew him very well not only in Pakistan but beyond the World.
Junaid Jamshed had a very impressive and charming personality and of course a voice which one can never forget. There was peace and tranquility on his face and in his persona. He was a Pakistani recording artist, television personality, fashion designer, occasional actor, singer-songwriter, preacher and televangelist. After graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (Lahore), Junaid Jamshed briefly worked as a civilian contractor and engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before focusing on a musical career. He loves Pakistan so much.
Junaid Jamshed was born in Karachi to Jamshed Akbar, a Group Captain in the Pakistan Air Force.
Junaid’s father Jamshed Akbar served in the air force. Junaid also wanted to become a fighter pilot but due to his week eyesight was unable to fulfill his dream. He loved his mother Nafeesa Akbar .he has 2 brothers Omer Jamshed, Humayun Jamshed and a sister Muneeza Jamshed. He had three wives , Ayesha Junaid and Nahya Junaid. He was the father of 4 kids , 3 sons and a daughter . Elder son Taimur Junaid is married and has a daughter. Babur Junaid and Saifullah.
He graduated from an international boarding high school in yanbu Saudia Arabia .He then entered the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, where he took mathematics and physics before declaring his major in mechanical engineering. In 1990, Junaid Jamshed gained a Bachelor of Science degree, graduating in mechanical engineering.
With his father's influence, he was employed by the PAF as a civilian contractor and moved on to a short-lived career in aeronautical engineering in the PAF's science command.In 1983, Junaid Jamshed started performing rock music at Peshawar University and Islamabad University campuses while still a student at UET in Lahore.
Junaid Jamshed started his singing career in 1980’s as lead singer of vital signs band. He was a man of many labels - a trendsetter, a spiritual inspiration, the centre of much media attention and never far from controversy.He gained nationwide prominence and international recognition as group ‘Vital Signs’ vocalist in 1987 , Jamshed joined his engineering university's rock band, Nuts and Bolts as a lead vocalist and performed at Flashman's Hotel in Rawalpindi with the album, Vital Signs 1. It included the singles ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’, and ‘Tum Mil Gaye’. The famous ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ that became the second national anthem was in this album.
In 1994, he released his debut solo album, Junaid of Vital Signs followed by Us Rah Par in 1999 and Dil Ki Baat in 2002. In 2003, BBC World Service conducted a poll to choose the most popular songs. Around 7,000 songs were selected from all over the world. According to BBC, people from 155 countries/territories voted in the poll. “Dil Dil Pakistan” was ranked third among the top 10 songs.
In 2004, Jamshed left the music industry after a spiritual awakening, choosing to devote his life to religious activities. Jamshed left both his engineering and music careers and, afterwards, focused on his religious activities for Islam and started reciting Nasheed’s on TV and releasing them on CD’s. Jamshed .Since then, Jamshed has focused on Islam and concentrated on reciting nasheeds. His debut religious album, Jalwa-e-Janan was released in 2005 and was followed by Mehboob-e-Yazdaan in 2006, Badr-ud-Duja in 2008, and Badee-uz-Zaman in 2009. He spend most of his time with Maulana Tariq Jameel.
Jamshed also owned a clothing boutique with the name ‘Jay Dot’, which has several outlets in Pakistan and across the globe.
Junaid was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2007.
Junaid Jamshed’s melodic voice went silent forever on December 7th 2016. After a year of his accidental death in a plane crash, a documentary on the singer-turned-religious-scholar will be released on 1st of December this year.
Junaid Jamshed was in Chitral, along with one of his two wives, Nahya Junaid, for a Tablighi Jamaat mission. On 7 December 2016, the two were returning to Islamabad aboard the ill-fated PIA Flight 661, which crashed near Havelian, Khyber Paktunkhwa, killing all on board. Junaid Jamshed was enroute to deliver the Friday sermon at the Parliament mosque. The bodies were burnt beyond recognition.
After 2004,He has sung a number of Naats, Hamds and has been travelling in many parts of the world spreading the message of Islam. His hobbies were singing , travelling , exercising , swimming.
Freedom is the key to Junaid's personality. Junaid Jamshed loves travel, adventure, variety and meeting new people, and he longs to experience all of life. Because of his great personality he have left a large fan list sad .
In Hum Awards 2017 that a performance by Junaid's sons and Salman Ahmad stayed with us after the night was over, it was the moving tribute to the late music icon Junaid Jamshed.
